Their watches are owned by people as diverse as Russian leader Vladimir Putin and American movie star Brad Pitt. The races in the series tend towards endurance races, with differences between the cars carefully assessed and allowances or weightings made to even these out – much like handicapping in horse racing. This is to give every driver the opportunity to win their races on their skill alone, rather than relying on superior engine power or design innovations.
